It’s been all about finding pockets of dog free fishing. And when I say dog free , I mean less dogs. There’s a shit ton of pollock at the top of the ledge, but the dogs are so thick, unless you have everyone jigging , it’s impossible to fish. The last few days have seen some awesome haddock fishing, the draw back is we’ve been drifting in 300ft of water to catch them . We can fish through dogs, it’s the tangles associated with them thats the problem. Don’t get your panties in a ruffle, if we ask you to use 1 hook, better to catch a keeper on 1 then a dog and tangle with 2. It’s not as bad as I’m portraying it, just saying, it takes a little effort. See you soon.

Fishing has been like the weather, changing day to day. If we can find an area with fewer dogs, the catch is obviously much better. Yesterday, had us moving every 25 minutes to stay away from the varmints, today a steady bite from start to finish.

Still busy these past few days, with constant reeling from start to finish. A variety of fish from hake to haddock throughout the day. The dogs are still here and at times a nuisance, hopefully when the water cools, we’ll see less of them ( it’s been around 70degrees)

We’re still catching, but battling the dogs. We have been jumping around the ledge, trying to find the sweet spot that gives the best opportunity to catch fish, and catch less dogs. Good mix of big pollock and haddock on the marathon today. I’m sure everyone will sleep well tonight

Good fishing over the last few days. We have been very busy to say the least, just enough dogs to be a nuisance, throw in some tide and some tangles, well you get the picture. A lot of work, but good amounts of keepers at the end of the day.

Pretty good fishing this week, action from start to finish. We have been seeing more pollock in the mix, some high teens and twenty lbs. Dogs have been pesty at times, but we’ve been able to work through them. Tis the season
